Colorectal Cancer Screening
Adults over 50 should have colonoscopy tests done to determine if there are signs of colon cancer. Signs of colon cancer would be polyps in the colon and if there is a known genetic link, adults should start going for the test as early as 35 years of age. This can be preventable and curable if caught early. The test is unpleasant but painless and it should be done every 10 years if there is no history of it in the family as the polyps grow very slowly.
