Lyme Disease
There are ticks that can carry harmful bacteria that if you are bitten by one, the bacteria can go into your nervous system if the bacteria remain in your blood for a long time. When this happens, your nervous system is affected and so is your short-term memory. It is ideal to know if you have been bitten by a tick right away so it can be treated, but symptoms don’t show up for months at the very least which is why it becomes a serious problem.
