Hives That Are Chronic
Hives are immediately associated with allergies such as pollen, mold, pet dander, and so on. However, those hives come and go. They leave once the allergen is out of your proximity.
However, chronic hives last for weeks and there is still research being done for the cause as it is unknown at this point. It may be an issue with the immune system, or it could be associated with thyroid disorders as well. The rarest case hives can be associated with would regard to cancer.
