Using the Senses
Next time you’re putting your keys down, try saying what you’re doing out loud: “I’m placing my keys on the kitchen counter next to the rice pot.” Another great option––especially if you have a tendency to forget names––is to say new names out loud. By using more than one of your senses in the process, you’ll several references to help you recall in your memory. It sounds taboo, but it works like a charm.
