Anyone who is experiencing grief and/or depression can easily lose their interest in their hobbies and interests that they once loved. But Alzheimer’s can cause apathy due to the brain changes as well and there is no depression or grief in the picture. Therefore, if someone who was once into knitting but no longer is interested and there was no sign of grief or depression, that is a concern.
