One of the most common symptoms of diabetes is a weakened ability to heal from sores and ulcers. If you have an ulcer on your foot––regardless of its cause––that doesn’t seem to heal, it could be a sign of diabetes. This disease causes nerve damage and poor circulation, so blood may have a harder time reaching your ulcer area for it to heal as needed.
